new tomcat installation; asd.war???

Have never seen it in a tomcat installation.  Do not know what it is.

Where did you get this file? Did it come with the Tomcat installation?

I'm guessing so as I nor any of my staff loaded it. Also system.war was there. however system was creating outbound connections to all over and I killed that one. This is why I'm asking about this one.

system.war and asd.war are not standard parts of the tomcat installation.

What did you really want to install?  You don't get those from the apache tomcat download, so perhaps this was from somewhere other than apache.org .

I was installing pwm from https://code.google.com/pwm  It's the password management site for LDAP.  however the other two kept showing up.

Maybe, but maybe not.  Tomcat is open source, and many people create their own versions of it for specific applications.  The big servlet engine providers also started with tomcat (IBM and BEALogic), so you see it everywhere.

I get a 404 on the link you provided above.  Can you find a better link?  If not, check how you got that link -- maybe the actual link is not to google.com at all, but to a hacker site.

Yes and that brings Me here. I don't recognize the other two and three were running.

They are not part of the default tomcat installation. Try something else, delete tomcat (and the web apps you have installed) and do a fresh install of tomcat. You should not get these files. If you do tell us where you downloaded tomcat from.
