Do you need to use MSN Messenger? Here is a good easy to use program designed for your needs. http://www.outlookmessenger.com/OM/index.asp
As far as I know there is no server available for msn.
You will need to check out a different type of instant messenger.
I would recommend using tonic for just 5 pc's, it doesn't need a server at all.

Hope this helps

Tonic is freeware so you don't need to pay for it.

no way to connect to my office communication server using msn messenger???????
ASKER
how?
A netmeeting server is different to a communicator server.
To set up NetMeeting, you need to install the software on the server and client. On an NT server, load the NetMeeting 3.01 SP2 software (available at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/netmeeting/default.asp). No installation is necessary on a Win2K server. To start the tool, go to the Run command or a command prompt and enter.

i want the msn not the netmeeting. what can i do???
Question: "how can i make these computers communicates with each other using msn messenger?????
Answer : 'add internet access to your network'
So far you have indicated that you have the COMMUNICATIONS SERVER set up, you just need to configure clients on the machines.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb894396.aspx
But please note MSN MESSENGER uses the WEB (so the login server for MSN is on the web, not in your office).
OFFICE COMMUNICATOR uses LAN/WAN (so the login/auth server is in your network).
Now, from memory, MSN is a little smart when it does detect users on the same network. So even thou it uses the web to login and locate other users, it will do peer-2-peer transfer speeds for files across my LAN. So adding even a small external internet connection should provide you with the pipe to login, and the overhead will be carried on your own internals (if at the same site)
Hope this helps at little more.

no way to connect my LAN to internet.
So we are back at the Communications Server option then. Did that technet link help you set up the clients? Give me an idea which way your heading or where we are stuck.

the link is ok but which is better to use as a client??? MS has 2 applications
