performace issues on server during a regular time

Dear Experts,
I work for big IT company , where we are using Arcsight ESM to monitor real time logs of Devices for A customer.

Today one Customer of us ( A big Authority Person )sended us a mail. which goes like this,

Some of the servers in our network are having lot of performance issues during 10 PM  to 12 AM on every week (Thursday & Friday). We are checking those servers performance using some tools. I also request you to monitor Internet link, Network switch during this time and escalate to me over phone, incase you find any issues. I also request you to give me complete report from now

Please monitor all serial ports and ethernet ports utilization also.

Monitor the customer interfaces with Cacti and Nagios (requires a *nix machine).

The applications could also be monitored with nagios and nagios plugins.

If this customer is downstream from your network, check the customer interface at your end for errors and dropped carrier.

The info you're supplying is far too vague, comparable to "There are traffic jams in some of India's larger cities, but we don't why..."

So where to start? You need to find out at first which servers are concerned, or maybe it's the network itself. Once you singled out the servers, you can begin looking at the processes that are running at the time the problems are perceived. By the way, it could also be the user's perception that he gets a slow response, which may be caused by huge traffic from other companies in the neighbourhood.

Luckily for me, I'm only familiar with Lotus Domino, and if you've found out that's one of the servers that are slow, just ask me to pop in again. Best of luck with your project!
