How to make a 3D image, go round like a Ball in Flash

Hi Guys, I have attached a photo of a 3D emblem, and would like to make it go round 360 degrees in flash... Is that possible?
I have no idea how to do this, can somebody show me step by step, or make it go round for me please? It is a small image, I need to re-do it on another larger sample with more high resolution, but if somebody makes this small sample go round for me, I think I will be able to take it on from there.

All you need to do to use the file, is change it's extension to .psd, as th sample is a photoshop file.

What version of Flash do you have?  CS4 has a new 3D rotation tool that would work perfectly, but the object would be flat.  If you wanted some depth, you might want to model it in a 3D animation program like Swift3D.

I have flash 8... I would like it to be 3D, as it is in the PSD file... Could you give me a hand on this? Maybe do something that is compatible with Flash 8?

I know that this sounds a bit straight forward, and a bit too much to ask for, but I never done anything similar to this, and have in mind to do the same steps as someone shows me in this sample, in another more larger image of the emblem.

The problem is that any source code I provide would be in Flash CS4, would be incompatible with Flash 8, and you would also need the Flash 10 player / plug-in to view the rotation.

I think you'll have a hard time with object rotation in Flash 8 without some pretty elaborate ActionScripting.  I would recommend either upgrading to CS4, or finding a separate 3D graphics program to produce this image in.

And as a web designer and marketer myself, I think you'll be better off not rotating logos just for the sake of rotating logos.  You should probably have a reason for it, like to draw attention to a banner or an important point.

All that said, you can probably simulate a 3d rotation by doing shape tween, compressing the object to a width of 0 and then back again to its normal width.

Couldn't CS4 save as a compatible Flash 8 or so file? Ok then, I'll upgrade to CS4 - could you please sample the emblem?

I'll re-do what is necessary and follow the steps in CS4 to do what I need with the larger sample... It's time to upgrade anyway from Flash 8 :s

Sorry for the delay responding.  Doing a 360 degree rotation in the timeline didn't seem to be working for me, so I found an CS4 tutorial on YouTube that handles object rotation.

Flash CS4 Tutorial - 3D Transformation and Rotation (using ActionScript 3)

I've taken your logo and applied the rotation to it.  Note that this is a CS4 file, uses ActionScript 3 and will only work with Flash Player 10.
