unable to install components in joomla - blank page - component not installed

I've installed joomla 1.0.14 and 1.0.12 and I can not install some components. After a few seconds I get a blank page and the component is not installed. Components community builder and SOBI2.

Tech support told me how to solve this problem. You simple upload using FTP and install from directory option. Thanks.
