Error in magento

I keep getting this error in magento.

Any ideas would be great.

Happens when I add or edit a new product.

What it says is that it does not find the image file that is used by default when the photo for an article is missing.

There might be to causes to that:
a - everything is fine, and just the file is missing
Check that in /skin/frontend/xxx/default/images/catalog/product/placeholder you have some pictures as well as the file
/skin/frontend/xxx/default/images/no_image.jpg
b - more probably, there is a problem with your skin scheme: just copy the no_image.jpg from the default skin.

If you are building your own skin, you have done that starting with a DUPLICATE copy of default, right?

did all this even change back to default theme, but still no good.

Hosting limits were reached when doing original upload, therefor some images were not upload as per your response.

- hosting limit: if you are close to it.... pay to have an upper limit.
RATIONALE: any upgrade or add-on module will add in /download/pearlib/download program pieces both in compressed and uncompressed form, and you might fall against your space limit at any stage
- note that once these upgrades/ add-on are working, you can safely delete the content of the above directory (as well as some others, but let's keep it simple! For my part, being slightly paranoid, I first copy/backup the zipped version to my local machine (NOT the directories under this one!), then delete the content on the server.

No, you can have the same design for all products and categories.
Remember that in fact "categories" are "departments" in your store: each of them MAY have a different design, as you decide when defining the "department". Note also that any product can be present in several "departments".
