How I retrieve data in php from mysql

Hi

I am trying to retrieve data which is store in Mysql and Joomla. I create a php form outside Joomla and trying to retrieve data. But it is showing Colud no connect. My php code is -

Probably, your password is wrong.

See the error you're facing with by changing the line #7 to:

$conn = mysql_connect($host, $username, $password) or trigger_error(mysql_error(),E_USER_ERROR);                $db = mysql_select_db($database, $conn) or die ("Could not select DB");

Hi

Showing error is -

Fatal error: Access denied for user 'root'@'127.0.0.1'(using password: YES)

Please tell me what I need to do.

$password = "";
update this value to root user's password.
