excel 2003 graph presentation

I am looking for a best representation of a graph with 3 different items, where for each of them we represent 2 characteristic on a selected day. An image of such a graph is in the attachment, but it is not so clear what it wants to display.

example:

7.avg:

red:
-column represent characteristic1
-small circle represent characteristic2

blue:
-column represent characteristic1
-small circle represent characteristic2
...

If it is possible i would be glad if you could post your picture of the graph and the solution.
