The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Multiple DNS domains in Exchange 2000

Asked by juraj in Exchange Email Server

I have server with a static ip and permanent connection to the internet.  Right now I'm hosting several webpages for several different DNS domains.  So I have websites for a1.com a2.com a3.com and so on using virutual web servers.

I am trying to set up email for these domains using Exchange 2000.  I managed to get everything working for the first domain a1.com, which also happens to be the Active Directory domain.  I set up the MX records on my DNS server and SMTP/POP virtual servers. Everything is fine: I can create an account in AD (like bob@a1.com) and I can send and receive email using that account

Now I am trying to set up email for the other domains, a2.com a3.com and so on.  I've already set up the MX records in the other DNS domains as per the original a1.com domain.  Also I've setup a recipient policy in Exchange (SMTP)for the a2.com domain and added the SMTP email address in AD Users and computer for the user.

However I can only receive emails for the first domain, i.e. for bob@a1.com.  The messages for bob@a2.com bounce.  What else do I need to do?

Here's the notice I get:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Unable to deliver message to the following recipients, due to being unable to
