Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI get the following error every 5 minutes in the application log in my exchange 2003 server.
Source: MSExchange
Category: Monitoring
Type: Error
EventID: 9098
The MAD Monitoring thread was unable to read its configuration from the DS, error '0x80041010'.
This error occured after I deleted all the files in the following directory
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\R
(I needed to do this to solve another problem.)
Does anybody know how to fix this?
Thanks

How about;
http://support.microsoft.c
It's at the bottom, "related event"
Please try to verify this info, as it is a copy/paste. It is "supposed" to rebuild the WMI repository. (I think you may have already did step 5 - which is why your are stuck now)
*************
cmd.exe
net stop winmgmt
c:
cd %windir%\system32\wbem\rep
del * /s /q
cd ..
regsvr32 wbemupgd.dll (takes a while as it rebuilds repository)
net start winmgmt
I saw your post on the usenet... at least I thought it might be you. Thus the WMI reference... sorry if it is of base.
