Don't have 2003, so I cannot confirm. Hope this helps.

1. Click Start, click Run, and type Regedit in the box next to Open. Click OK.

2. Navigate to the following registry key:

Key_local_machine\system\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeWeb\OWA\

3. Create a new Dword value and name it DisableAttachments.

4. Right-click the DisableAttachments Dword value and choose Modify.

5. In the Base window, click the button next to Decimal.

6. In the Value Data field, enter one of the following numbers:

Enter the value '0' if you want to allow all attachments.
Enter the value '1' if you want to disallow all attachments.
Enter the value '2' if you want to allow attachments only from back-end servers.

7. Click OK.

If you don't want to completely diable this feature, you can control which
attachment types are blocked and or accepted.  I believe the values that
need to be changed are located in the same key.
Look at the following ... Level1FileTypes and Level2FilesTypes.

mdb is a level 2 attachment, all you really needed to do was remove it from the list in the regkey value, Level 2 attachments. Now that you've deleted those 2 values entirely, you'll need to put them back. Hope you backed them up first. After that, if it's being blocked, I'd check something else besides OWA, like URLscan maybe? Just a question, in case you have it installed.

Oh yea, antivirus could be stopping access to mdb files, you have any attachment blocking turned on there?

Hey VtoBusman

Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeWEB\OWA

In "Level1MIMETypes" remove "application/msaccess" from the list!

Make sure mdb isn't on the Level1FileTypes list.

You can leave it on the Level2FileTypes list, if you want your users to have to save the file to the local disc before opening....

This works, I had the exact same problem!
