Our email users are being hamered with the netsky virus.
Our antivirus system fortunately blocks all the mails but unfortunately, every time a virus arrives, the virus gets stripped out of the message but the message goes to the recipient with an attachment saying that the virus has been quarantined or removed.

Windows 2000 SP4
Exchange 2000 Server
Symantec antivirus for exchange
I am having the same issue for 2 different domains actually and users are really starting to complain.
I know for a fact that the virus is coming from the outside, I have been able to trace the IP of the sender but I know it will take for ever to have the IT staff of the other end to clean their system.
Symantec antivirus for Exchange has got a web console that allows ( in the global option ) to remove the virus, quarantine the virus but doesn't allow to erase the mail that contains the virus.
Maybe the option exists but I can't find it.
Any idea ?
