The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Errors 929 and 155 after moving exchange2000 to exchange2003 on new server

Asked by dimmie_n in Exchange Email Server, UseNet (NNTP)

Hi guys,
After previous question answered I tried the Xfer...
Here's the story: Small Domain with 1 Windows 2000 Adv. Srvr (DC) & Exchange 2000 Ent. (say oldserver.domain.com)
Bought New Server, installed Windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2003 (say newserver.domain.com)
Xfered Mailboxes through AD Users&Computers, Replicated Public Folders, and uninstalled Exchange 2000 from oldserver.
Everything works fine but I get errors 929  (every hour) and 155 (occasionally) on newserver:

Source MSExchangeTransport
Category Routing Engine/Service
EventID: 929
Computer NEWSERVER
Description:

EventID 155
Computer NEWSERVER
Description:

Microsoft says that there is an old ghost connector but I only find one in SystemManager...

Thanks

P.S. After the errors are fixed I plan to demote OLDSERVER and rename NEWSERVER to OLDSERVER as well as change its IP to the old one...
PS2. No NAT on domain... all IP's are nominal...
PS3. There is also one child domain with 1 DC (originally Win2K but upgraded to Win2K3 Ent. and an additional DC on parent domain just for backup reasons... I can take it down anytime...
