I have an Exchange 5.1 Enterprise server. My transaction logs are filling up because my NetBackup system is down. Usually the NetBackup agent for exchange 5.1 would backup the transaction log files and flush them out when the Backup is finished but now the Msdbdata folder is filling up 8Gb at the mo and soon will hang the server. I'v already tried to run the optimiser and move the log files to another area but it hung and did not succeed. Can I move the transaction logs off temporarily ? what would it effect? Any Help on this would be appreciated.
