The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Exchange System Manager - Access is Denied ID no: c0070005

Hi Experts

I have a problem trying to launch Exchange System Manager.  When I try to launch ESM I get a small window as below:

Exchange System Manager
Access is denied
Facility: Win32
ID no: c0070005
Exchange System Manager

A few seconds later I get another error window:

W:mmc.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x77f5d61b" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debeg the program

The problem seems the same as Q_20729138 it is exactly the same symptons of falthane1 middle of the post.  The post wasn't really addressed.

I as well can't right click on users in ADUC and select properties.  I get another error window:

Microsoft Active Directory - Exchange Extension
Access is Denied
Facility: Win32
ID no:c0070005
Microsoft Active Directory - Exchange Extension

I as well can't access anything but Security in Event Viewer.  When I try to click on say Application an error window comes up:

Event Viewer
Unable to complete the operation on "Application".
Access is denied.

I checked http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3BQ323915

and I've checked the registry entries.  I am logged on as Administrator and I've given full permission to those registry entries.

Even more weireder is that I can get properties of Users if I use the Server Management Console of SBS2K3.  Where previously I said trying to rightclick on a user and click properties in ADUC and got an error.

The server and services seem to work okay.  It just seemed to occur out of nowhere.

Please help.  Thanks in advance.
