Browse All TopicsI'm am being asked to provide an autosignature for all clients in my network because of SOX requirments. Is there a way to place this on all clients mail going out without haveing to go to everymachine to configure it manually.
There were a couple of threads on the forum about the using 3rd party software but it turned out to not work for exchange 2003 with outlook 2002.
any help would br greatly appreciated

You might have a few issues setting up the virtual server to talk to eachother. The following will make more sense after you read the article.
Consider VS1 your current virtual server. That server should listen on port 25 so that inbound email doesn't get the stamp.
Consider VS2 your new virtual server included specifically to stamp the disclaimer. That one shoulld listen on port 26.
VS1 should use VS2 as a Smarthost. and dilver email via port 26.
VS2 should deliver email to the internet on port 25.
Client --> email VS1 --> port 26 --> VS2 (Auto Stamp Trigger) --> port 25 --> Internet
Internet --> port 25 --> VS1 --> Client
Then, HIPAA came out, and we had to use Digital IDs. If you auto stamp an email that has a digital signature, you break the Digital ID. If you have a digital ID, the way to go is to buy an applianc, such as Voltage, that can stamp the mail, provide a digital ID, and encrypt--if you need it.
