smtp Virtual server is what i am using. I mainly need to block things going out. The article pretty much just references blocking mail coming in. I want to block them from being able to send to anyone outside the company. But i had gone under the delivery restions in the smtp connector and choose to block e-mails from a specified group. It no longer works.
Sorry I use 2 virtual Servers One is for POP3 accounts, You should have one virtual server with anonymous acceess enabled, otherwise mail will not come in. But you should not have relaying enabled for all authenticated users, otherwise you are an open relay. It sounds liek maybethe anonymous access is overriding the deny user.
this is the page that shows how to use an smtp connector to restrict access to outgoing mail, this is a link off of sembees posted link
