Exchange 2003 cannot send mail

Dear all,

I have a question that unfortunately is very vague.

I have an Exchange 2003 server that won't sent any email unfortunately. The situation is this:

We are part of a managed office and connect to the internet through our own router.
We essentially don't have an ISP as we use the internet from the managed office.
We can recieve mail no problem.
From what I can gather the server is setup as every normal small scale un-complicated exchange server is setup.

As I don't have much information and realise that this is a really vague question I was wondering if there are any steps or diagnostic tools I can use to help me attempt to diagnose why it won't send any email?

Any help muchly appreciated.
