IIS Inheritance Overrides on Exchange virtual directories
When I attempt to modify the setting named 'A redirection to a URL' in the default web site, I get the following message:
IIS Inheritance Overrides
'The following child nodes also define the value of the "uncpassword" property, which overrides the value you have just set. Please select from the list below those nodes which should use the new value."
It then lists the Exchange and OMA virtual directories. Since I am modifying a URL only, what is the meaning of this message? It makes no sense to me. I am not modifying a password. In my example, I am simply creating a redirect in the form of "https://mydomain.com/exchange". If I change this even one character, I get the IIS Inheritance Overrides dialog box once again. What happens if I select both the Exchange and OMA virutal directories? What happens if I don't?
