The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Using Exchange on my private DSL Network in conjunction with our RackSpace hosted Linux server ...

Asked by zboyblue in Exchange Email Server

Tags: dsl

Hi,

We have a server with RackSpace.Com now that we have been using for a long time .. it is linux, has Plesk, etc. Works fine.

We want to host an Exchage server in our office (on Small Business Server 2003). We have a Business class DSL line that is fast and has 2 dedicated IP's.

I am trying to figure out, step by step, what I need to do to make sure this works right. I think I know mostly what to do but rather than clouding the air with my ideas I would rather hear it from the experts .. My goals and fears are:

Setting up all the DNS stuff in such a way that the Exchange server takes over all the responsability for mail. Having the rackspace mail server as a backup would be a HUGE bonus .. in that case I would need to know what to do to get Exchange synced so it would grab any mail that ends up on the rackspace server.

Making sure that the Exchange server is not looked at like a spam server by other mail servers on the web (reverse lookups, etc) ...

I am sure there are more .. but in general, just getting it all working right.

I am supposed to be setting this server up in the morning and have it working by tomorrow afternoon.  :-O Please lend your advice, our mail is very important and I dont want anything to go wrong. : )

Thanks in advance!

Craig
