Exchange distribution list modify access for users
I have a user (executive) who wants to have access to modify a distribution list. The List is a standard group distribution group in AD how do I allow the user to add and remove users from the list without having him go into the MMC?
Thank you
He can do this directly through outlook. Just locate the distribution group in AD. Go to properties and add him as the manager for that group (I forget which tab it is, but it is definately there). Then check the box that says allow this user to modify recipients.

I have added the user as manager but ca not find the check box, but it did not seem to work, does the user need to log off and back on.?
can i add 2 users as manager or only 1?
in the group properties the tab is called managed by. once you assign a user there the user should be able to modify the group membership via outlook.
to assign permissions to multiple users you need to go into the security tab. over there you have permissions like add member and remove member. assign those to multiple users

You can only add one user who can manage the group through outlook.

Wow very cool. I will be adding that to my bag of tricks:)
yes, good trick. i think one of the key things in these forums is, rather than 'you can only' or 'there is no way...', tis better to say, 'the only way I know of...', or 'per documentation here, the only supported way of...'.
