MAC authentication to Exchange

I have a Windows 2003 SBS server using exchange for mail. I have several MAC cliens that have difficulty authenticating to the server (there is a certificate error). It doesn't seem to matter whether I use exchange, IP or pop they all can't authenticate.

I have created certificates on the server and put them in to the Keychain of the client computers.

The one MAC that I am really experiencing these issues on is a Mac Powerpc 750, Mac OSX v10.3.9 running office 2004 (I have tried both Entourage and Mac mail). The keychain version this Mac is running is 3.1.4.
