We have only one mail server running Exchange 2003 and only one DC running server 2003.
Here is a little bit of the history...we were blacklisted as a spammer, we were infected with a virus friday and it was sending spam email from a laptop. The virus was contained we have been delisted. The firewall has been configured to send smtp only from our mail server.
All outside email seems fine except to one domain. The mail server retries to send emails but they fail and eventually expire. The NDR reads as follows:
Reporting-MTA: dns;our.domain.com
Final-Recipient: rfc822;User@domain.com
Action: delayed
Status: 4.4.7
Will-Retry-Until: Tue, 17 Apr 2007 09:16:19 -0400
X-Display-Name: user@domain.com
The mail queue says An smtp error has occured when i click on the domain it is trying to send emails to.
The receiver receives email from everyone else and can send emails to us, but we can't send any to them.
It's been 3 days since we were de-listed. I'm not sure if this was a problem before but it was brought up the same time we were blacklisted and couldn't send out emails. I'm not sure if this is on our end or thier end. Any advise or guidence will be appreciated.
