Exchange: Error updating public folder with free-busy information

Asked by aconway in Exchange Email Server

Tags: updating, public, folder, information, exchange

Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003 SP2 on the back end.  Clients cannot view the Free/Busy information in their Outlook client when they try to schedule a meeting (it shows as //////////////////////  availability for everyone).

I think it might be trying to look at the old server's FreeBusy info or something... somewhere..

Background:
I just completed a complete server to server migration of my Exchange server following this guide:

http://www.amset.info/exchange/migration.asp

Exchange on the old server is unavailable and will not even start at this point...  everything on my new server seems to be kicking at this point, except for this Outlook Free/Busy problem.  My new server has been in operation now for a couple weeks.

The error on my new server:

Event Type:      Error
Event Source:      MSExchangeFBPublish
Event Category:      General
Event ID:      8207
Date:            4/30/2007
Time:            2:46:32 PM
User:            N/A
Computer:      SERVER
Description:
Error updating public folder with free-busy information on virtual machine SERVER. The error number is 0x80004005.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I think something with my new server is still trying to reference the old server... at least in regards to this FreeBusy problem.Start Free Trial
