Message delivery to the host 'IP Address' failed while delivering to the remote domain 'Servername.domainname.local' for the following reason: The connection was dropped due to an SMTP protocol event sink.
The SMTP verb which caused the error is 'ehlo'. The response from the remote server is ''.

I have got about 50 exchange 2003 servers and they are all working fine. But when I try to add a new exchange server, I get the above error Event id 4007 with just internal emails. The connector gets created, but the queues on it just keep on growing. I have created a test user with the mailbox on this new server. But when I use telnet I can get mail to go that mailbox.
I can send mail from the mailbox to any other mailbox within my organisation. It is only happening when there is any mail/public folder updates, etc trying to go to this new server.
I have re-built the server several times now and even did a vanilla install of W2K3 and only had E2K3 on it but no luck. The last thing we did was a couple of months ago - was change from mixed to native mode AD and Exchange. There are no firewalls running on any of my servers.
I don't have any security setup on the SMTP Virtual Server. It is setup exactly as any other of my Exchange 2003 server.
All I get in the queues is "Additional queue information - The connection was dropped due to an SMTP protocol event sink."
