Renew OWA Certificate with no down time.
I have an exchange 2003 server running the latest service pack, and I am using Form Based authentication for OWA access. The certificate I am using is just about to expire. I would like to request a new certificate with no down time. Anyone know what the best process would be?

It was purchased from GoDaddy. I plan on purchasing again from them... Do all certificate vendors support the renewal process? Can you elaborate a bit? Thank you.

I will be performing an exchange 2003 to 2007 migration in the near future and have a couple questions regarding outlook anywhere. Would you consider getting your e-mail address to me? Thanks for the help. adam@tylercrew.com

If it is a purchased certificate and you are going to purchase a certificate from the same source then you can do a renewal request which allows the existing certificate to continue to be used.
If it is a home grown certificate or you are going to use a different supplier then you must create a new request. That usually means removing the old certificate first.
However one trick you can use is to setup another web site and do the certificate request there. When the response comes in you process that on the other server. Once complete, export the certificate. Then remove the original certificate from the production server and replace it with the new one. There will be down time, but about a minute while you swap the certificates over.
