Exchange 2003 message store full

We are using a single exchange 2003 server, and have found that our mail store is now full. We think it is around 18Gb. We need to expand this to a higher capacity. Does anyone know how we should do this, and what are the limits of storage capacity?

In addition, can we not get any warning that the storage is reaching capacity, because as it stands, the store just dismounts itself without warning.

Thats great guys!
I read the article relating to running a script which reports the amount of drive capacity that each message store is taking, but is there not a way that Windows will actually kick out a warning when it reaches capcity? Runnung the script needs user intervention, and I was hoping that Windows would provide a warning pro actively, on getting towards capacity, without users having to remember to check.
Is it possible for you installl a monitoring software...eg. Microsoft Operations Manager 2005...It will cover a lot more than just monitoring disk space...

if you talk about exchange database size then exchange will throw out events in the application logs telling the admin about the database size.
