Open Shared Calendar

I am runing Exchange 2003 SP2 and Outlook 2003 on XP SP2 machines.  Our company has a shared calendar.  When I try to open the calendar from the calendar window in Oulook by clicking the "Open a Shared Caleandar" link I get the Open a Shared Calendar winow. I type the calendar name in the window and hit OK and I get 3 choices of the calendar name in the Check Name window.  All  3 names are the email address for the calendar.  When I click any one of them I get an error that states "Unable to display the folder. The server mailbox cannot be opened because the address book entry is not a mail user."

The calendar is in Public Folders\All public folders.  Everyone has explicit permision to view the calendar and "All users access permision" is selected on the Administration tab of the properties of the calendar.

I have also run the switches /resetfolders and /cleanfreebusy to no avail.  Some users have the calendar on thier calendar window but most do not.  The first time I connected to it, months ago, it worked fine now it does not.  How can I get that calendar to open in Outlook?  Thanks in advance!

Answering the above questions; Yes - our users are able to access the calendar from the public folders.  Yes - the problem is we just can't access it from our personal calendar view.  Yes - it has worked before, I mentioned that in my question that I used to have the calendar in my personal outlook calendar view.  In my attempt to troubleshoot the problem I deleted it from my calendar view and tried to bring it back and could not. Plus anyone else that does not already have it in their personal outlook calendar view cannot get it.

This works now in Outlook 2007 with an Exchange 2003 server if you add the public shared calendar to your favorites list first.  Haven't tested other client/server versions.
Thank you "uvc-vt"

This was exactly what I needed, and the solution was so simple too :)
(uvc-vt) this worked for me as well. Outlook 2007 / exchange 2010

instead of going to calendar and clicking 'open shared calendar'.... and receiving "this address book entry is not a mail user" , just follow those instructions:

browse to the shared folder in folder view. Add to favorites. access calendar and it is added to the calendar list when you access Calendar from Outlook.
This did not work for me.  It used to just like was said above but now when I delete and try to add again I get errors.  I add to favorites and then access the calendar but it does not show in my calendar view.  If I can get it to display none of the content is there.  also, I get the alert at the top that the calendar cannot be updated.  2003 exchange with OUtlook 2003 and 2010 clients.
