I don't think that a SAN is going to be the solution, seems to be a little pricey for the application that it's going to be used for. Can you offer me any more advice with regard to the SCSI attached storage?

Browse All TopicsHi I'm currently in the process of spec'ing hardware for a 2 node Active / Passive Exchange 2003 cluster. I'm rather confused as to what external storage I should be looking at, can anybody help me out?
Does the shared storage 'have' to be a SAN or would a NAS suffice? Also looking to do this as 'cheaply' as possible, lol as always. Can anyone recommend anything that I should be looking at in terms of storage?
Thanks

You may either use SAN or SCSI storage attached to your Exchange server.

If you are having low budjet i would suggest for SCSI Storage or if you are having enough budget you may go for SAN.
There are entry level SAN from DELL AX100 which gives very good performance. I have used it.
