Exchange 2003 SP2 incorrectly indicating it is near storage limits

I've been running an installation of Exchange 2003 SP2 for over a year without any significant problems.  However, after a routine check of the event log, I've noticed the following informational messages after online defrag:

The database "First Storage Group\Public Folder Store (SERVER)" has 3 megabytes of free space after online defragmentation has terminated.

-and-

The database "First Storage Group\Mailbox Store (SERVER)" has 411 megabytes of free space after online defragmentation has terminated.

I've checked the actual file sizes of both databases.  The public store is showing it's around 22MB, and the private store is just over 13GB.

This server was upgraded to SP2 specifically to increase the store limits from 15GB to 75GB... but it seems like it still thinks the 15GB limitation is in place on the private store.  I can't even begin to imagine why it thinks the public store only has 4MB left when it's a mere 22MB.  I have made all of the appropriate registry changes to increase the size of the stores to 75GB.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and have any idea how I might solve the problem?Start Free Trial
