Hello Experts!
I am responsible for an Exchange 2003 server (among other things), which stopped working this morning because the C:\ drive ran out of space. I found that the log files (E*.log) in the directory c:\program files\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA\ were piling up.
I run a nightly full backup of Exchange using Backup Exec 10D, and thought these files should automatically be deleted when the backup is completed, but this seems not to be the case here. My backups are always completing "with exceptions"; th exceptions invariably being a number of spam email messages in various email boxes which are listed as "corrupt" files and cannot verify, such as:

Otherwise, things run fine, and I know the backups are good as I have had to restore items recently and have been able to do so without problem.
So: Any idea as to why these files are not being automatically deleted? And is it safe to manually delete them (since I know I have good backups)?
