imap4 configuration on Exchange 2003

imap4 configuration on Exchange 2003...
I need to support IMAP4 and have configured it for supporting some IMAP compatible PDAs.
Does this protocol require opening more that port 143 TCP on the firewall?

Yes you must port forward tcp\udp 143.

Here's all you'll need to consider to allow IMAP traffic through:

IMAP                        TCP:143
IMAP (SSL)              TCP:993
