Web mail login is not working with default domain name

Hey

I have exchange 2003 and web access for email, when my users login they dont need to put domain name.they just use username and password. But now for some reason its stop working. But if i use domainanme\user name and password its working. I dont know how to change back to where i need to use only username and password..
My road warriors are prettty upset about this..

Are you using Forms Based Authentication (the pretty page?)

If so, you do not need to hack it with the above link, you need to upgrade to service pack to for exchange and it will work.

Hey thanks for your fast reply..

my webmail address is http://webmail.domain.com/ - it brisngs a pop up window for username and password. But after i reboot the server yesterday if i use my username and password it bring back the pop windows saying webmail.domain.com\username i have to remove webmail.domain.com and put my domainname\username and password works fine. But i dont want to have domain name. i need to have just username and password.

please help...
