Uninstall MAPI Client

I'm trying to backup Exchange 2007 with Backup Exec.  I'm able to select the information store and start the backup.  It starts fine backing up the databases, but then fails when it tries to do the individual mailboxes.
This is the error I get.
Final error: 0xe0001207 - To support individual mailbox message and folder restores from Information Store backups, you must download and install the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects package version 06.05.7888 or later on the Exchange 2007 server. This package can be found on the Microsoft web site. Symantec support says to uninstall current MAPI client before installing new version. How do I uninstall Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects ?

I wouldn't worry about this uninstall. Most likely you don't have a MAPI client installed. Check Add/Remove programs for an entry for "MAPI & CDO". If not present, just download and install https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=E17E7F31-079A-43A9-BFF2-0A110307611E&displaylang=en

Thank you for your info
I did install but I still recieved the error: 0xe0001207.
At http://support.veritas.com/docs/287937    Microsoft tells me
"Attempts to upgrade the prior version of MAPI/CDO will report as successful but the installed components will not be updated.

The older version of MAPI/CDO will have to be uninstalled and the new version installed."

This is why I believe I have to uninstall the old version.
What version is c:\windows\system32\mapi32.dll on your E2K7 system. I have 6.5.7940.0. According to the article it should be at least 6.5.7888

You did install MAPI & CDO on th Exchange 2007 server, right?

Yes Exchange Management Tools are installed on Backup Exec Media server.

I have fixed the issue Thank You for your information. When I created the job it defauted to my account and not the system account.  Once I changed the default system login to the system account everything worked.
