Exchange Mail store fails to stay mounted.

I've read about every different version of offline defrag and recovery, and still come to a dead end.

offline defrag error's.  I've attempted to move the file onto a different file system, but receive CRC errors mid way through the transfer.

I'm at the "pulling my hair out" stage, and so is the client.  

no amount of trying these utilities has appeared to assist in getting the mail stores to mount and stay mounted.
