Hello!
I'm having a problem with losing email message content within both Outllook 2003 & 2007 when email messages contain both Japanese and English characters.
Example:
An email is written that contains English and Japanese content. Email is sent (from USA) without error, but receiver (located in Japan) will either entirely lose large portions of email content, or will add eroneous characters and/or scramble email message.
Here is a checklist of some variables:
All updates to Outlook 2003/2007 are current.
Windows updates are current for what is automatically handled through MS automatic update.
Uses Outlook Exchange Server 2003.
Happens with both Win2000 and WinXP.
Happens when using both Plain Text and HTML coding, but at times (very rare) will work OK sending in Plain text
I was told that problem might have started when a content disclaimer message was used on Outlook Server 2003. So each email that gets generated within the company will automatically include this disclaimer at the bottom of every email.
The disclaimer is written in english.
Checking the Sent Mail folder shows the original email was properly formatted and sent.
Windows updates are current for Outlook 2003 Server, but not certain if it would need to have any other updates, perhaps something for Outlook specifically.
I don't know how to remove the disclaimer to see if that is the actual issue as the only IT admin was recently let go abruptly, so for the time being its somewhat chaotic. Plus, the disclaimer is mandatory, so even if it where the issue, it would need to be rectified somehow with it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!
