SBS2003, SP2 w/ Exchange SP2. This is a fairly new server, fresh install of SBS2003 with Exchange SP2.
I have been having a problem with this server successfully completing updates for the IMF Filter in Exchange. What happens is it hangs and eventually times out when trying to install an IMF update, then it doesn't restart Exchange so I have to do it manually. This has been an on and off issue - on at least one occasion I was able to manually install an IMF update months back, but now I am trying to manually install (KB907747) and it's hanging.. There's something weird with the Exchange setup because I tried re-applying Service Pack 2 months back and even that hung. So I rebooted the server and tried it again, and that time it went in with no errors.
As I a trying to apply this patch now, it's stuck. I went into the services and I see that the IIS Admin service is stuck in a "stopping" state... and has been for a while now,
