Tried a detect and repair and mailbox rights are the same for all users.

When I create a new event in my calendar in outlook 2003 and invite attendees, the email is sent out and received by all attendees fine, however, when i modify the event in my calendar and resend the updates to all attendees i get a bounce back saying:
"You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator." MSEXCH:MSExchangeIS:/DC=uk
We have tried deleting and recreating the user account in Acitve Directory and the reconncting the mailbox to the new account but this didnt resolve the problem.

Hi!
Make sure that you don't have more than one email account in your outlook or make sure you have select default account in your outlook, like this:
On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
In the E-mail accounts wizard, click View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next.
In the list of e-mail accounts, click Microsoft Exchange Server, and then click Set as default.
Click Finish to close the E-mail accounts wizard.

Have you tried to repair your outlook? Select command from:
Help -> Detect and Repair
Other thing is to check your exchange/mailbox settings, that mailbox rights are correct in SELF user
