Deleted AD user still recieve forwarded calendar items

Asked by Jeff_Dickinson in Exchange Email Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Server

My group has been going through and deleting out old Activie Directory accounts and email accounts that have been disabled for years.  Now it seems as though users had delegates setup on their calendar items that forward appointments to the deleted AD users.  If I send a test appointment to my test subject, he/she will get the appointment but I get an NDR from another user that was deleted in AD (which is why I thought to check rules and delegates, but there was nothing there)/  I have created new mailboxes on the pc's but seems that this is a server generated task for the user.  How can I get rid of the forwarding with out re-creating deleted users just to apply them back to delegates and taking them off again.  I don't even know if re-creating  users would work seeings how I don't have the old mailbox to tie back to the account.  Any ideas?Start Free Trial
