Last Error: 421 4.4.2 Connection dropped

Dear Sir,

Please I have a question regarding the email flow through Exchange Server 2007.
I have found many emails in my queue with this error message:
[Last Error: 421 4.4.2 Connection dropped]
The email stayed in queue and didn't send to the receipient address...

Please any help?
Thank you

do you have this for every connection or have this for some domain, if oyu have it for some domains, try to telnet to the SMTP servers for those domain and make sure that you are not listed and have correct MX and Reverse records.

Please any help?
I am having same problem , if anbody resolved this problem, please revert back me.....thanx in advance
I'm having the same error.
I have checked all my records - reported no problem!

I am also having the same error.
I have observed this error on Exchange 2007, in my case it is probably related to the size of the message, I am sending an 8MB video attachment, perhaps the receiving system is not accepting my large attachments. My smaller/normal mail to this recipient is flowing without incident. If I 'suspend' delivery of the larger email(s), the smaller ones then flow on a "Retry".
Supplemental:
I did an NDR on the original email and removed it from the system. In my OWA/client software, I re-sent the same file but before sending it, I removed the file from the email, renamed it from VIDEO1.WMV to VIDEO1.WMV.FILE and re-attached, and the message went through fine.

Perhaps the recipient's mail system was set to reject files of this type and did not send an accurate reason for rejecting the mail, instead choosing to drop the connection.
