I may already know the answer to my problem...however I still would like some confirmation.
I recently set up Exchange 2007 sp1 for my company. No prior Exchange server as we moved from Zimbra to Exchange. Has all updates and most everything is working fine except:
Free/busy time works through OWA but not through Office 07 and Entourage and any other Desktop clients. However, in Office 2003 I can view all of my windows users free/busy, but the minute I look at a mac or linux user or a recource, they show no information.
My thought is that when we bought the "subject alternative name" cert ($600) we did not add the hostname of the exchange box, now in production, we are receiving a cert error every time that we open outlook. Additionally, even though I am using NTLM authentication on the server and individual outlook accounts we are asked to authenticate to the domain. Problem with the cert not matching? This all leads to my problem of when going to schedule a meeting we are not able to view each others/resources free/busy time.
I have tried the "outlook /clearfreebusy" switch on local computers and logged into outlook accounts to insure that they are publishing free/busy as well.
I notice that while trying to view these times in office 07, it sits at the "retrieving free/busy" for almost 1-2 minutes, while in office 03 the update is immediate. Again, as i said before, the same problem exists in Entourage.
Any help?
