Our company has just installed a new Exchange 2007 server. This server does not house its own copy of Active Directory. It uses the schema from our Domain Controller which also has Exchange 2003 installed on it. After working rith routing we were able to link the two Exchange servers together. The exchange 2003 server acts just as a front end server as the mailboxes have been transferred to the Exchange 2007 server. After trying to get Outlook Web Access to work with no success I decided to recreate the Exchange directories in IIS by deleting OWA, Exchweb, Exchadmin, etc. But, being slightly impatient, I accidentally deleted the Default Web Site instead of just the Exchange directories within the Default Web Site. Emails seem to be working in spite of this. But Outlook Web Access is toast. I may be able to avoid the whole issue if there is a way to create a new default web site and point it to the OWA directory of the Exchange 2007 server's IIS. I did create a new default web site after accidentally deleting the one on the exchange 2003 server. I then cleared the DS2MB listing in the IIS metabase and restarted the Exchange System Attendant, but it did not recreate the exchange directories. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
