New Mailbox in Exchange 2007 for an existing user
Greetings,
I have been migrating from Exchange 2003 to 2007. I have moved all users but one. His email would fail as a result of corrupt messages, mapi errors, etc, etc, etc... That is all water under the bridge now becuase while rebooting the old Exchange 2003 Server it refuses to come back online. The server is remotely located.... Long story short, I am no longer overly interested in his old messages.
So my questions are as such.
How do I create a new mailbox for this pre-existing user? The management console shows that the user already has a legacy mailbox.
If I do manage to get the old email server operational again, is there any way to merge the 2 stores. As of now I am looking to just connect a computer to the old server, and download the emails to a pst, then upload them to exchange and the new store.

That's why I'll attempt to bring the old exchange 2003 back online first...

I deleted the mailbox and then created a new one
is this the suggestion I provided in the first comment :)?
3. Delete the mailbox from the exchange 2003.
4. Create the mailbox under the exchange 2007 and link it to the user.
