"the request operation forbidden"

I'm still having this problem, and it is critical for me to manage public folders. I'll really appreciate if I can get some experts to look at this problem, it seams to be something unique cause none of the posts on the net did work.
Is there any other way for me to troubleshooting this issue? Maybe a event log?

SOLVED!
The problem, for me, existed in the Directory Security Settings under IP
Address and Domain Name Settings. My settings were set to 'Deny Access to
all Except: 127.0.01". As soon a I modified that setting by changing it to
Grant Access to all and deleted the IP restrictions and double checked the IP
access settings on the root of the site, things started working.

That is because your server has another version of service pack than the computer you're trying to access it from. Upgrade both to the same servive pach and patch level.
