Cannot download offline address book

Hello,

We have migrated an exchange 2000 server to Exchange 2007 and whenever users try to download the offline address book they received errors. This occurs in all versions of Outlook. I read that the autodiscover service may not be contactable or the like. Can somebody tell me how to confirm that the autodiscover service is working and contactable.
