have you got a postmaster account setup for your domain? some domain check this i would think that the domain that the user is sending to is perfoming this check

There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator.
We have a user whos getting the following Messages when sending an e-mail to one particular domain.
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: RE: [Jmol-users] Pymol, DSV, and Jmol

If it is happening for one particular domain I would suspect that it is the recipient's mail server. I've never seen that error message in Exchange before and I don't think it is an Exchange message.
