Sounds simple, however I couldn't find solution to this problem...
I need to allow one of my managers to send mail using e-mail address which is one of his aliases, but is not his default e-mail address.
i tried to type in address I wanted to use in "From" field, however this is being resolved with Exchange and replaced automatically with default address...
Can't be done with that mailbox configuration in Outlook unless you invest in a third-party solution
It's either configure a new mailbox with that email address, add it to his folder list, and give him 'send as' permissions - or get him to use Outlook Express (or some other POP3 client)
This is the behaviour of Exchange. You can use third party software (like the one stated by Mike above) or create redundent mailbox and grant Send As permission to the user. Another alternative is to create a POP3 account using this second alais email address in Outlook so he/she can choose which account to send the email.
