We recently moved to Exchange 2007 and during reboot we get the following error each time and are unable to send outbound email until I restart the System Attendant:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7022

Time: 7:46:41 AM
User: N/A
Computer: Exh2007
Description:
The Microsoft Exchange Transport service hung on starting.
The only other errors I am getting are:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MSExchangeMailSubmission
Event Category: MSExchangeMailSubmission
Event ID: 1009
Date: 3/27/2008
Time: 7:44:00 AM
User: N/A
Computer: Exh2007
Description:
The Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission Service is currently unable to contact any Hub Transport servers in the local Active Directory site. The servers may be too busy to accept new connections at this time.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeTransport
Event Category: TransportService
Event ID: 12014
Date: 3/27/2008
Time: 7:46:46 AM
User: N/A
Computer: Exh2007
Description:
Microsoft Exchange couldn't find a certificate that contains the domain name mail.domain.org in the personal store on the local computer. Therefore, it is unable to support the STARTTLS SMTP verb for the connector External SMTP with a FQDN parameter of mail.domain.org. If the connector's FQDN is not specified, the computer's FQDN is used. Verify the connector configuration and the installed certificates to make sure that there is a certificate with a domain name for that FQDN. If this certificate exists, run Enable-ExchangeCertificate
-Services SMTP to make sure that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service has access to the certificate key.
This last error makes me think it is due to the fact we are still using the default SSL cert because we haven't purchased our new cert yet.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
