Outlook cannot connect to Exchange server

We are running exchange 2003 server on a windows 2000 server. Ocassionally we have users complaining their outlook cannot connect to the exchange server. Sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes longer outlook reconnects itself. A few times, outlook never reconnected itself until a reboot. But usually a restart of the computer usually fixes the problem.

Whenever this happens, outlook cannot connects to the server, I can ping the exchange server ip address but not by it's host name. However I can ping other computers, servers by host names and ip addresses without a problem. Any ideas?Start Free Trial
