Exchange 2007 Mailbox access

Hello,
I have a potential need to access multiple email accounts on multiple Exchange 2007 servers and these servers are part of the same network but different domains/subdomains. Currently, If I need to give the administrator access to user mailboxes I give their account RECEIVE-AS permissions on the Mailbox Database. This allows the specific admin to open user accounts without the need for a password.

I am getting ready for a project that has multiple Exchange 2007 servers and these servers are within multiple domains or subdomains for this company. I dont' have the specific details, yet. But, I was wondering how I would give mailbox access to a specific account if the mailbox database is on different email servers and if those servers are in different domains. Is it possible to give an account, from a different domain or subdomain, mailbox access to another Exchange server mailbox database even if it is not in the same domain? It is just as easy as adding an account or group and just assigning it to the mailbox database, isn't it?

Any specific details on giving one user account or group access to mailbox databases on different domains or subdomains would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
John
